The still photographer on The Descent: Part 2, Ollie Upton, just uploaded a set of badass stills to his official site, which you can see below. You may recall the sequel picks up with the only survivor from their run-in with the cave-dwelling monstrosities being dragged back to the site of her worst nightmares to help look for her missing friends.
Be sure to check out our Descent: Part 2 set visit for more images and info when you’re done with these! No word on when the sequel will be out here in the states (it's got a May 15th release date in the UK), but as soon as we know more, you will, too!

American ending? Cheers for that, I've got the standard British edition so I'll have to downl.. *cough*.. order a different region and have a look. Assuming you're American, do you guys frequently have to put up with that sort of thing on foreign releases?

What sort of thing? Different endings? In this case Marshall couldn't decide which was better so he shot both and they sorted it out later. Personally I prefer the British one, myself, but that doesn't really lend itself to a sequel.

Has anyone read the book that it is based on? The movie is no where near the book. The movie is decent, but the book is amazing. Its by Jeff Long, who also wrote another book called "year zero". Its about an island with a bunch of jesus clones. Lol its pretty sweet.

What are you talking about? The Jeff Long book of the same name is not the basis for The Descent, they just share a title. Strange person.

Eh...same idea too. People discover a group of "people" living underground that turn out to eat people. I said people too much. But I do see your point Johnny. And yes.....i r strange!

I'd imagine an eventual 'Hills2' verdict/comparison will be a best-case scenario for this one!

Oh God, this has "The Hills Have Eyes 2" (2007) written all over it...

Am I being a 'tard, but there wasnt a survivor in the 1st was there? - I took the sequence where she 'escaped' as wishful thinking after she got knocked out (and then came to in a situation she wasnt going to be getting out of in a hurry)

I believe the American ending is considered the launching point for the sequel.
