Last week Fangoria got word from The Rockville Slayer director Marc Selz about his newest project titled Satanic Panic. Salz started shooting his newest picture on June 2nd in Rochelle, Illinois, and all has been going well since.
The film is based off the silly panic that occurred during the 1970s and 1980s when Satanism was all the rage. Though the Satan card isn't played as much today, back only 20 to 30 years ago the Lord of Darkness was the cause of everything from D&D to Presidential elections. For such a turbulent subject it has not really gotten the screen time it deserves until now. The eyewitness accounts of all the ritualistic wrongdoing have paved the road, and with Marc Selz behind the wheel Satanic Panic will hopefully “capture that older gritty look with a docu-style feel along the lines of The Blair Witch Project and Wolf Creek.”
For more on Satanic Panic check out the film's official site.
Best of luck to you, Marc!
