SDCC 08: Species Maquette

I’ll admit it, I’ve never been a big fan of the Species films. The premise is great; hot alien chick comes to Earth to mate and kill, but the execution never really stuck with me. One thing I can’t say I didn’t like, though, was the creature. This was truly a work of art!

And now Sideshow has made it into one with their Species maquette, which made its debut at last weekend’s Comic Con. All the features that were put into the creature for the film were painstakingly recreated for this 12” high maquette, featuring Sil moments before a kill. Or so we can hope.

Man, she starts off so good looking, too. Talk about your bad morning afters...
