SDCC 08 Exclusive: Deepak Chopra Talks Horror!
All right, this is just freakin’ weird. I mean, of all the people you’d expect to see being interviewed on Dread Central, would Deepak Chopra even show up on the list? Hell no. But here he is, talking about a horror novel he’ll be writing for HarperCollins called Satan.
The story, which Chopra says will be developed as a comic as well, follows a young man who’s got the worst luck with women; every time he falls in love, the woman dies. Eventually he goes to see a psychatrist, who he also falls in love with, and she tells him he’s the victim of dark energy. Tracing the source of said energy, he eventually comes face to face with Old Scratch himself.
Of course, there’s a lot more to it than that; this is Chopra after all. Check out the video below to get the whole scoop!
Big thanks to Virgin Comics!

Errrr.... 'scuse me?
Deepak Chopra and a horror novel...???
Well, I guess if M Night can make HARD R-rated horror (that's hard-rated, grrrr!!!), then old DP can write a horror novel about our favourite malicious Being Mr. Diabolo himself, S. A. Tan.
Good on you old chap - well done!
