SDCC 08: Drag Me to Hell Update
So, why did Sam Raimi finally decide to come back to the horror genre after years of making one of the most successful comic book film series of all time?
Andrew Kasch is reporting in to answer that question. Raimi decided after Spider-Man 3 that he wanted to get back to the basics and concentrate more on a story than an FX heavy film. The horror genre is where he believes that opportunity lies and Drag Me to Hell is that chance to show off his story telling skills. The Evil Dead director told attendees of the San Diego Comic-Con that the PG-13 flick will be a fun spook house ride.
Drag Me to Hell is about a woman who denies an old woman a bank loan. This small mistake costs her severely as the old hag places a curse on the young woman.
What about Spider-Man 4? Sony is most likely going to make one and Sam Raimi would really like to be on board again to direct.
