Saw V, Tell-Tale & More Casting News
There’s really nothing I find more annoying than trying to make a full news story out of a casting announcement, especially if it’s for just one person. So, being somewhat lazy this morning, I thought I’d put ‘em all into one story for ya.
First the possibles. B-D spoke with Gina Philips recently and learned that she may return for Jeepers Creepers 3, hopefully as a badass Creeper hunter this time. She only says they’re “in talks” now, but obviously some version of the new script includes her character.
B-D also got word that Betsey Russell will return in Saw V as Jigsaw’s wife, not that that should be surprising at all. I mean, she didn’t die horribly yet so of course her story’s not done being told.
Now for the smaller bits. Variety reports that James Remar (“Dexter”) is joining David Goyer’s Unborn, currently lensing in Chicago. The trade also reports that Christian Serratos has joined Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight adaptation. Finally, various sources report that “The Sarah Conner Chronicles” star Lena Headey has been added to the modern-day Poe update Tell-Tale, which shoots in Rhode Island next month.
So there you have it; five stories worth of news in one easy-to-carry chunk. Nice!

NEXT STORY
Over the weekend it was announced that Dark Horse Comics, the indie label responsible for everything from Hellboy to The Mask, has signed an exclusive three-year production and distribution deal. One of the first titles being worked on is R.I.P.D., the comic created by Peter Lenkov, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hot ass Gina Phillips as a hunter of the Creeper in the new movie? I'm there.
