Saw V Teasing!

Lionsgate has done it again ... created an incredibly effective, incredibly creepy and incredibly badass teaser poster for Saw V. Damn them, I want to get sick of this series already, but they just keep sucking me back in!

Saw V is due in theaters October 24th, 2008. Directed by David Hackl, the fourth sequel finds forensics expert Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) on the hunt to protect the fact that he is the latest to carry on Jigsaw’s legacy.

Personally, I thought IV was the weakest out of the series. Although this poster has gotten me excited again.

I stopped watching the Saw series after Saw III, but I did actually want to see IV. The poster kind of reminds me of the DVD art for Braindead with Bill Pullman (I think) I'm not exactly sure why, but Jigsaw's face kinda looks like it.

Pretty badass poster anyway.

OK, so I took Butane's advice and rented Saw 4. A little better than what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting alot. Never was a fan of the series, and I doubt anything will change that. Nice to see more backstory, but the torture scenes are just more of the same, almost boring at this point.

Part IV was a good film - I really enjoyed it. However, watching the "Behind the scenes" stuff on the DVD you could tell that Bousman was starting to go through the motions and was beginning to run dry in terms of creative juice... Maybe Hackl is going to produce something great - or maybe this will be the "Indy IV" of the series :-0

The original Saw was the best of the series...but IV was pretty bad ass.

Eh, I've had enough torture horror. I'd be happy if they swapped release dates with MMT and put it on more screens.

Isn't what you said there somewhat contradictory?

That is a cool ass poster, probably better than the Jigsaw in a weight pan teaser. And it's a great way to get Jigsaw on the poster.

But yeah, I expect nothing from this movie.

Don't expect much... and Saw IV is probably the best of the series so far, so you should check it out.

PelusaMG, you took the words right out of my mouth.
1) Serve the public trust
2) Protect the innocent
3) Uphold the law
4) Classified
Haven't even seen Saw 4 yet. Was never a big fan, and by the 3rd I was burned out. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch the unrated (YIPPIE!) version of Robocop.

Sweet, very weird indeed. That's clearly not Hoffman's body though, Hoffman isn't built like that at all, he's a lot bigger and more muscular.

I'm not implying that it's Gordon, I don't know WHO it is. Curious.

In a wierd sort of way, that image reminds me of Robocop!
