Roth & Dougherty Get Origins
The popular NBC show "Heroes" or its spin-off "Heroes: Origins" don't quite fit into our beloved genre, but Hostel writer/director Eli Roth and Trick 'r Treat writer/director Michael Dougherty sure do!
The Hollywood Reporter cracked open the story that the two horror helmers have been brought on board to write and direct their own episodes of the series spin-off, which will focus on new everyday people discovering their extrodinary abilities. Roth will be penning and directing his own episode, but the details on the story and which, if any, of the characters from the original series will be making an appearance are still unknown. What we do know is that his story will introduce new members of the "Heroes" universe.
No word on when the show will be making its debut, but with talent like this behind it, horror fans are going to want to keep a close eye on it. Like you don't already...

Sometimes being a journalist means that you have to report on things that cause a great deal of pain. This is one of those times. It's with a heavy heart tonight that I report the passing of Karl Hardman. Best known for creating an unforgettable character in Harry Cooper, the hot-headed yet not totally unreasonable father in the original classic Night of the Living Dead, Karl will live on in the hearts of fans and through the work he helped to create forever.
