Romero Appearances Cancelled
Word came down the other day that George A. Romero had cancelled his appearance at both the Eerie Horror Film Festival and Rock and Shock due to an unexplained illness. What we didn’t know at the time but have since learned is that Romero had actually collapsed and was hospitalized.
The cause of Romero’s illness has yet to be explained, but we do know it’s not life threatening and the 66-year-old horror master is under doctor’s orders to get some rest and stay at home for the next few weeks. Over on Rock and Shock’s official site, Romero’s manager Chris Roe has put up a note that he regrets not being able to meet with his fans, an activity he truly cherishes, but he simply cannot attend the conventions right now.
We’ll have updates for you as we learn them, and of course everyone here at Dread Central wishes the master a quick recovery!
Post your best wishes in our forums!
