Roadside Picks up Alien Trespass
You’d think a movie that stars “Will & Grace” lead Eric McCormack would have a little bit more info available about it online, but it was increasingly difficult to dig up anything on Alien Trespass, which Variety reported this morning has been picked up by Roadside Attractions for distribution.
Other than an official site, which only says it’s coming soon, I was able to dig up the poster you see on your right as well as this official synopsis; Set in 1957, Alien Trespass chronicles a fiery object from outer space that crashes into a mountaintop in the California desert, bringing the threat of disaster to Earth. Out of the flying saucer escapes a murderous creature - the Ghota, which is bent on destroying all life forms on the planet. A benevolent alien from the spaceship, Urp, inhabits the body of Ted Lewis (McCormack) - a local astronomer - and with the help of Tammy (Jenni Baird), a waitress from the local diner, sets out to save mankind.
An homage to 50’s B-movies, Alien Trespass is the feature directing debut of long-time “X-Files” producer R.W. Goodwin. Premiereing at the forthcoming Palm Springs International Film Festival, Roadside plans on putting Alien Trespass in 22 markets come April 3rd, so expect to hear more about it between now and then!
