Summer Scars poster (click to see it bigger)We’ve been hearing good things about Summer Scars, Julian Richards’ follow-up to The Last Horror Movie, for a while now but nothing to indicate it was this good.

An e-mail from Richards yesterday proudly announced that Summer Scars is up for three BAFTA Awards, the British equivalent to the Academy Award, for Best Feature, Best Screenplay and Best Titles. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 27th, 2008 at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Wales. Wow! Best of luck to Julian and his crew!

Still no word on a U.S. release for Summer Scars, but the e-mail did indicate that negotiations are going on with several distributors for North America, Spain and Germany following its screening at the European Film Market, so expect to hear some good news soon!

Check out the Summer Scars page on Jinga Films’ site for a list of its upcoming festival screenings!
