Richards is Back With New Scars

Been wondering what director Julian Richards has been up to after The Last Horror Movie came out and finally had its day in the sun a few months back? Why, he’s been working on another film of course, and yesterday he sent out a bunch of new information on it.

It’s called Summer Scars, which has just completed principal photography with Richards behind the camera and Kevin Howarth in front of it, just like in Last Horror Movie. This time, however, the horror is even more real; Summer Scars follows a group of school kids who struggle to escape from a pedophile that is holding them hostage in the woods and is based on an actual incident that happened to Richards when he was a child.

Howarth took a big chance in taking the role of the pedophile, never a popular choice for any actor, and as you can see from the still featured here, he’s a long way from the calm insanity that was Max Parry in Last Horror Movie.
