It has always been a dream of mine to be a reporter, a real outlandish one. Then I start to think about all the movies I’ve seen where the overzealous media end up on the bloody end of a knife because they just had to get that one great story.
The ghouls over at Splatter Container helped to further squash my dreams by getting ahold of some exclusive images of the upcoming Jaume (Darkness, The Nameless) Balagueró and Paco (Romasanta) Plaza directed project, Rec, which we last reported on here and here. The seven new exclusive stills paint a disturbing scene, but that is bound to happen when you have extreme closeup shots of bloody actors. Some of the photos make the film appear deeper than the simple synopsis about a reporter and cameraman out to rescue an old lady lets on. That is a good thing.
No word yet on when the film will hit the States, but our European readers can expect it later this fall.
