Reaping Loses Glass

As if the troubled post-production issues that have plagued The Reaping weren’t enough already (the movie’s shifted release dates more than a Dimension film), now they’ve lost their score, the final piece that is put in place before a film can be called “done”.
Said score was conducted by Phillip Glass (Candyman, The Illusionist) but, for reasons not revealed by Music for the Movies, has now been replaced by a full orchestral score from John Frizzell, who has scored previous Dark Castle films Ghost Ship and Thirteen Ghosts, and most recently worked on Primeval which our music man Manack interviewed him about right here.
The Reaping now has a fairly solid release date of March 30th, but God only knows when that might change again. In the film, Hilary Swank plays a disheartened missionary who has made it her goal in life to debunk signs of God’s presence on the Earth. When she finds a town that is suffering through the biblical plagues, however, her tune begins to change.
