Ready for Some Spring Fever?

According to the Hollywood Reporter, "reports of Rider Strong's death in Cabin Fever have been exaggerated." What that means for fans of the film is that Strong's character Paul will indeed be returning in the sequel, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, along with the strangely endearing Deputy Winston (Giuseppe Andrews). In case you haven't been keeping track, in CF2 the virus no longer just lurks in the woods; it is now prepared to strike a high school prom.

As we previously reported here, some of Strong's castmates will include Larry Fessenden and the lovely Alexi Wasser. According to the Hollywood Reporter story, they will be joined by comedian Judah ("30 Rock") Friedlander as the Down Home Water security guard and Mark (Horror Business, review here) Borchardt as Winston's cousin from Wombusaw along with Noah Segan, Marc Senter, and Rusty Kelley playing new potential victims.

The film, which is being directed by up-and-comer Ti West, has already started shooting in North Carolina so keep it here for updates as they come in.
