Rave for Bump & Rage Comics
Fangoria Comics has been one of those entities sitting out there on the sidelines for months now with little being said about it other than a few press releases announcing new titles that I, for one, slavered over as soon as I heard about. Finally both Bump and Beneath the Valley of The Rage are getting some big-time attention from the mass market as it was featured in the latest issue of Preveiews.
A huge article about the new label (which you can read here) sites Bump, one of the launch titles for Fangoria Comics that is the basis for a new film set to be directed by The Rage director Robert Kurtzman, as one of the best chunks of bloody offerings ever seen out of the horror comics world. Writer Mark Kidwell called it the darkest thing he’s ever written, and the Previews staff picked it as their #1 for April.
Not to shabby for some upstart company no one’s ever heard of. I kid, of course.
Both Bump and Beneath the Valley of The Rage (their other launch title that will serve as a prequel to Robert Kurtzman’s The Rage) are set to hit stands in June. And since we’re speaking of The Rage, be sure to hit its official site for a look at the brand-new teaser trailer, which debuted on Fango TV a few days back!
