Toronto After Dark 2007!While the rest of the world’s eyes are trained on the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival, the folks behind the second year of the Toronto After Dark Film Festival are compiling their own showcase of horror and fantastic films from around the world. And they’re doing a damn fine job so far!

We just got word that the first half of the Toronto After Dark premiere lineup has been posted on their official site and so far, so good. This year the fest will be getting the Toronto premiere of David Arquette’s The Tripper (review), the latest output from Troma, Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead, the Russian film that’s been wowing audiences around the world, Wolfhound, the Korean animated film Aachi & Ssipak and a documentary called Audience of One, about a Pentecostal priest who wants to shoot a multimillion dollor, Christian version of Star Wars. Now that is horror.

And that’s only half of their premiere lineup so far! Check out the official Toronto After Dark site for more info on all the film’s showing this October 19th-25th!
