Perrineau Off to Fight Demons

If nothing else, perhaps his new starring gig on the CBS show “Demons” will show everyone that Harold Perrineau can do more than run around an island looking for his son.

The Hollywood Reporter got word today that the “Lost” star, who will next be seen as a U.S. chopper pilot in Fox Atomic’s 28 Weeks Later, has signed on for a co-starring role in the new CBS show “Demons”, which despite the title is still just being called a drama for some ungodly reason.

Get it? Ungodly? Ha! Anyway, the show is about an ex-Jesuit priest named Gus who performs exorcisms. Perrineau’s role will be that of Gus’ best friend, who has known the man since seminary school. Now, I’m just banking on the fact that the show’s going to have some dark supernatural elements to it considering the plot, but I guess it is possible CBS could take such an idea and make it a straightforward drama. Though I can’t imagine who would watch it.

There are no plans for Perrineau to return to “Lost” since he sailed off the island at the end of Season 2, a fact which pisses me off to no end cause that was a tale I wanted to hear about, damnit.
