Padalecki Cast in Friday Remake

The first bit of casting news has broken for the upcoming Platinum Dunes remake of Friday the 13th and thus far things aren’t looking too bad. Cross your fingers and take a deep breath.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news today that “Supernatural” star Jared Padalecki is in the final stages of negotiations to star in the Marcus Nispel helmed remake from a script by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
“The remake will focus on the serial killer, who will wear his now-iconic hockey mask. Padalecki will play the lead, who investigates what happened up at Crystal Lake.”
Friday the 13th is scheduled to hit theatres on Friday, February 13, 2009. Keep it right here for more!
