Nite Tales Series & Movies Planned

Nite Tales gets a seriesFor those of you who caught the debut of the Flavor Flav-hosted anthology Nite Tales on BET last Halloween who have been anxiously awaiting more info about it, we have some good news. THR reports that Flav and filmmaker Deon Taylor announced on the eve of the NATPE Market & Conference that Nite Tales is becoming an anthology series!

"It's going to be very refreshing, a cut away from the norm of what's on TV right now," creator Deon Taylor said in a press release. They plan on the show having a strong web presence, kicking off with an upcoming contest in which fans get to choose the name of Flavor Flav’s character.

But that’s not all! Deon Taylor is also planning on bringing a new Nite Tales movie to theaters every Halloween, included one called Terminated written by Saw IV writer Thomas Fenton.

I guess it’s just a good time to be Deon Taylor, eh? Now if only his first movie, Chain Letter, would get some kind of release, we could at least get an idea of what kind of filmmaker the man is. Keep one eye on Taylor’s official site and one eye on Dread Central for more updates!

Dead Tone is a new film brought to us by the same Director of Nite Tales........

A party. A prank phone call game. A lunatic on the other end of the line.

What happens when the college students making these calls forget to dial *69, telling a mad man exactly who they are and where to find them? Soon the partying friends are trapped in a horrifying game of survival against someone hell-bent on ruining more than their night in a party house. Once the phone line goes dead, it’s too late to escape the fun and games this maniac has in mind.

Based on a true story, Dead Tone stars Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), Jud Tylor (Charlie Wilson's War, That 70s Show) Antwon Tanner (One Tree Hill), Brian Hooks (Fools Gold, Eve).

Awesome! They're gonna do a series?? Wonder if they'll retain the same cast or not. Keep us updated on when it's going to start airing and on what channel(s).
