How many times, when you were being picked on as a kid, did you wish you could come back from the dead and get revenge on all those who wronged you? The dying thing is where I always came up short, but Alex Pettfyer won’t have that problem when he stars in Jon Wright’s The Tormented.
Variety reports this morning that Pettfyer, star of Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker, will topline Tomented, about a bullied teen who comes back from the other side to wreak revenge on everyone who … well, tormented him. Director Wright is best known for his short work, this will be his first feature, but he also served writing duties on Hammer’s Beyond the Rave.
The UK horror/comedy is being produced via the BBC and Screen West Midlands, with April Pearson, Larissa Wilson, Mary Nighy (daughter of Underworld/Sean of the Dead star Bill Nighy) and Dimitri Leonidas also starring. We’ll have more updates on The Tormented as it moves forward, so stay tuned!
