If the printed press in the UK is to be believed, everything’s going very well on the set of The Wolf Man, the much –anticipated remake staring Benicio del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Hugo Weaving.
A recent report in the Gazette & Herald from the set not only features the first look at Weaving as an inspector hot on the trail of Larry Talbot but also shows del Toro in his non-wolf form, which you can see on your right.
There’s not a lot of info in the article; mostly it reflects disappointment that Hopkins wasn’t around, but there is a set description that fills me with joy. I’ll let you read it for yourself to see what I mean!
The Wolf Man is set to hit theaters on April 9th, 2009. Of course we’ll have tons more on it between now and then so stick around!

Yeah, I'm geeking out over this. Every picture that surfaces is total class. It looks like Benicio's having a lot of fun channeling Chaney, Jr. on this shoot.

A barn where they are storing the dummy dead bodies...?
Between this and the apparent Victorian age setting I'm getting a Hammer vibe here. And I couldn't be happier.
