New Bumps in the Night

Bump in the Night ProductionsEvery time I look at my Fiend Without a Face prop I cannot help but smile. Something about having a life-sized brain complete with arms and a dangling spinal cord just makes me smile.

Then of course when I look to the left I see my Captain Spaulding mask just smiling right next to me. That thing is so life-like it’s like having Sid’s severed head laying on my table.

Where do these insane goodies come from you ask? The sick mind of Chuck Jarman of Bump in the Night Productions. If you’re a horror fan, you should be well acquainted with Chuck’s work. If you’re not by now, stop sitting there looking silly and click on the above link.

The studio that has brought you such cool shit as the Doctor Tongue mask from Day of the Dead, the Fulci Zombie mask, and others is poised to unleash all new manners of horror in 2008!

From their recent press release:

“Even more exciting are the developments for the near future, with a [new]official license for 2008 — Army of Darkness, which will include multiple masks and props from the film, including Ash’s Chainsaw arm(!) [and also] an official line of Lon Chaney masks, props and collectibles licensed through Chaney Enterprises.”

Dude, who doesn’t want a fucking Ash Chainsaw Arm?! Holy shit!

They also let this other interesting tidbit fly …

“In the next year or so, we will be starting our own special F/X company in the San Francisco Bay Area called Bump in the Night F/X, Inc.” says Jarman. “This side of [Bump in the Night] will be dealing with prosthetic makeup, characters and costume designs for feature films. It should be fun!”

Keep your eyes here for exclusive photos of the new stuff mentioned above soon. In the interim, go buy a Deadly Spawn puppet. You know you want one!
