I know, I know, The Day the Earth Stood Still isn’t exactly horror -- in fact most would argue it’s about as sci-fi as one can get -- but I couldn’t help it; this trailer is actually way better than I expected it to be. Just watch it and feel free to bitch me out below. The remake opens everywhere on December 12th.
Then we have a new look (pun intended) at Blindness, which may also not be considered horror by some but sure looks pretty damn scary to me. A plague of blindness sweeps a major city, and only one woman is left with sight? How fast would things break down in that sort of a situation? Blindness will see a limited release on September 19th.

Well, if you need someone to play an emotionless alien, I guess getting Keanu is as good as anyone else.
But I still want to punch whoever greenlit this right in the face. Absolutely unnecessary, and I've heard the script is not good.
Blindness looks a little more hopeful.
