Never Cry Werewolf This Weekend

You're so cool Brewster ... oh, wait.It was just two weeks ago that I wrote about an upcoming werewolf movie entitled Never Cry Werewolf that seemed to owe more than a little to a certain other movie called Fright Night. If I may quote myself, “Take the movie Fright Night, change the teenage boy into a teenage girl and the vampire into a werewolf, replace his manservant with man’s best friend, make the vampire-hunting TV horror movie host a rugged outdoorsmen TV hunting host instead, and you get the new lycanthrope chiller Never Cry Werewolf.” Despite being a blatant knock-off of Fright Night, watching the trailer still left me wanting to see Never Cry Werewolf. Looks like it could be a fun little flick.

Little did I realize when I wrote that “>initial article that we’d all get to see it sooner rather than later. Turns out Never Cry Werewolf, which stars Nina Dobrev (“Degrassi: The Next Generation”) and Kevin Sorbo (“Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”), premieres this Sunday night on the Sci-Fi Channel at 9/8 Central. There is no replay, at least not until the 7th of June, so if you wanna see Never Cry Werewolf, you better tune in or set your DVR for this Sunday night.

If that’s not enough Sci-Fi Channel original movie mayhem for you, this Saturday night in their regular premiere timeslot will see the unveiling of Aztec Rex, the previously titled Tyrannosaurus Azteca from director Brian-Trenchard Smith. The film deals with Spanish Conquistadors (led by 90210’s Ian Ziering?!?!) encountering the Aztecs and the still living T-Rexes that the Aztecs look upon as gods. The movie airs Saturday at 9/8 Central and again four hours later. I hear Aztec Rex is actually an above average Sci-Fi Channel original. We’ll see this Saturday.
