My Bloody Valentine Redux Goes 3D
I’ll admit I’m not really able to care too much about yet another remake, especially one for My Bloody Valentine which is a somewhat lame 80’s slasher entry at best. But today Lionsgate made an announcement that may make or break the redux: They’re doing it in 3D!
Why? Because everyone else has their 3D remake, that’s why! Actually who knows the real reason? All we know is that the blood and hearts will be jumping off the screen almost a month earlier than originally announced as well; it’s now set to be released on January 23rd, up from February 13th.
Patrick Lussier (White Noise 2, Dracula 2000) directs the remake from a script by Zane Smith. Though Lussier’s a very cool guy and has a genuine love for horror, I’d really like to see him do something original for a change. Keep it here for more on My Bloody Valentine 3D very soon!
Make your love jump off the screen in the Dread Central forums!

The folks over at the IMP Awards got their virtual hands on the UK quad for Chemical Wedding, the upcoming directorial debut from long time Month Python editor Julian Doyle.

Know what's sad? There was a MUCH more talented director (who shall remain nameless) that was very close to directing this -- and it would've been friggin' fantastic.
Instead, we get a hack who hasn't made one movie above mediocre. Expect this thing to be forgotten five seconds after it opens.

Oh, c'mon. Patrick's not nearly that bad. His Dracula series was a lot of fun, and White Noise 2 had a few good moments. I think his next project after MBV will show off his talents to better effect.

Patrick Lussier is the Brett Ratner of horror.
No thanks.

3D Nooooooooo.... !!!
I am still scarred by my 3D experience watching Freddy' Dead: The Final Nightmare, where the character played by Yaphet Kotto tells everyone that they have to put on these 'special glasses' to see Freddy in the next dimension... Oh fuck off!

Oh ho shit, ANOTHER desperate plea for an audience with 3D. Wow, who knew a cheap movie device would be that last ditch effort for remakes?

With it being in 3D, the boredom will really jump out at you!
