Mother of Tears Update
Still on the fence as to whether or not you should be excited for Argento’s next movie, The Mother of Tears, the final in his Three Mothers trilogy? Anyone who’s seen Sleepless has every reason to be gun shy about the man's work, but the recent addition of Asia Argento to the cast, as well as some new scene details that have shown up on Twitch Film, may change your outlook.
Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson have said many times that their script for Tears was bloody and horrific, but I really didn’t expect the kinds of things detailed in this brief bit. I’ll let you choose as to whether or not you want to read it as there are potential spoilers to be had, though personally I think it’s worth it to imagine such a cool Argento film again!
I will tell you that shooting in Rome is finished, and they’ve moved on to Turin for a two-week schedule. Over on the best site for all things Argento, Dark Dreams, Alan Jones reported that he’ll be on the Turin set for a few days beginning November 12th, the same days Anderson and Gierasch will be there, so look for some great stories from it soon!

NEXT STORY
One of the other cool things that come out of AFM each year is the plethora of new posters for films, most of which are usually temporary for the fest itself, but some are the real final deal. The boys at Bloody Disgusting got their camera lens pointed at five such posters: early works for Castlevania and The Deaths of Ian as well as what looks like the final posters for Hatchet, The Tripper, and Doug Buck’s Sisters remake.
