Alexandre Aja's Mirrors remake teaser site opensSometime last week an early teaser site for Alexandre Aja’s Mirrors, a remake of the 2003 Korean film Into the Mirror, found its way online. Though there’s not a helluva lot on there now, it’s a good sign that things are progressing with Mirrors even while talk of Aja’s Piranha redux is going on.

A quote from Aja on the page reveals that he was initially attracted to the project because of the possibility of exploring the dark side of something we take for granted in everyday life: mirrors. Admittedly the concept that something so commonplace could hold a hidden menace is appealing; I just hope Aja can pull it off without resorting to cheese.

Mirrors is the story of a mall security guard who becomes involved in a mystery revolving around the mirrors in a department store, which seem to bring out the worst in whoever looks at them. Check out the Mirrors teaser site here, and look for more info soon!
