For older horror fans who remember sneaking behind the "special curtain" at the local video joint to see Death staring back at us, it is a special memory. Oh, the number of times I got beaten for sneaking Faces of Death home.
Last month we revealed plans from Red Shirt Pictures in regard to a very special edition DVD of the original Faces of Death. Red Shirt is currently handling the special features while Gorgon Video itself will be distributing the taboo classic to the masses.
But ... when is it going to come out? What better time than around Halloween? How about a few weeks before Samhain? Hell yes! Faces of Death SE will be celebrating its 30-year anniversary on both DVD and Blu-ray on October 7th!
The bonus features will include:
As soon as it is available for preorder, we'll let you know!

Terror in the Aisles! Oh, yes please! FoD I can live without. Been a long time since I saw it and the horrible sequels. Never got into the whole "Mondo" thing.

I know my memory isn't what it used to be, but if I recall from the early 80's, wasn't this flick just a bunch of news reel footage showing dead bodies with lame music playing in the background mixed in with terribly faked death footage? I apologize if I'm off here.
This is one oldie but goodie that I'm just not interested in watching again. I'd be more impressed if Terror in the Aisles gets a DVD release.

For whatever reason, I remember the blotches of humans scattered through out a suburban neighborhood due to a plane wreck of some sort. Perhaps it was the contrast of smashed human bits in the "safety" of suburban middle america. A grisly scene for sure.

No, the monkey dinner wasn't real. That had already been confirmed before. Hell, it's pretty easy to spot the fake ones.

Personally? My favorite part of this was the paranormal stuff at the end. At least I'll finally find out if the monkey dinner scene was for real! LOL

FoD is supergrody.
I remember watching all of these as a kid. The real kicker was one day, my dad got home in the afternoon while I was watching one of the later installments.
I was all, "Hey, look!" as a man was drawn and quartered, and he was all, "Oh my god! What the hell is wrong with you?!?" (or something like that).
Boy, was he upset.

Is this the edition that Andrew was shooting special features for, or something like that? I think I remember hearing that in a dinner for fiends.

Yep, this is it!

Really? You got beaten multiple times for bringing home FoD? Were you slow or something? I normally learn lessons pretty quickly. Plus, why would you need to see FoD so many times?

Excuse me, Mr. Sense? I'd like to introduce you to Mr. Humor.
It was clearly a joke. Lighten up, man - you'll live longer.

G.D. what is with all of the confrontation lately? Every time I click on one of your comments you are giving someone a hard time about something. Come on, we're not all bad! LOL ;)
