A number of years ago there were rumors that Master Replicas had picked up the Ghostbusters license from Sony and were going to produce props based on the classic franchise. Then everything went silent and fans had to deal with all the expensive fan made proton packs and traps. I bought one too, you can admit it.
So, you can imagine my level of excitement when Master Replicas announced that they had indeed secured the GB license! If you've purchased any Star Wars items from these folks in the past, then you know we're in for some highly detailed and accurate toys!
Working closely with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Master Replicas will work its magic to ensure authenticity and accuracy. Master Replicas initial Ghostbusters product range will include authentic limited edition prop replicas as well as a few “surprises” just in time for the 25th anniversary of this pop-culture property.

I bought one for $300 on ebay. The thing was falling apart, but kids loved getting their pictures taken with me at the cons.
Master Replicas better not expect us to pay over $1,000k for these though, as decent kits still run far under that price tag.

Mine was a crudely drawn apple carton for the proton pack, and a milk carton/paper towel tube/plastic cup wrapped in black construction paper for the blaster.
God I miss those days.

I remember me and my buddy making our own proton packs out of cardboard boxes and tin foil, with pieces of decorated wood for the blasters.
If I was rich I could totally see myself forking out for an exact replica of one.
