Man, I sure love it when the virtual pages of Variety are filled with detail. Like all the information they have readily available for Jacob Forman’s latest script sale, Handsome Devil.
That’s sarcasm, by the way, as the only thing the trade said about the film is that it’s a thriller set in a Manhattan prep school, as well as the announcement that it’s been scooped up by MTV Films after a bidding war. Forman, you may recall, is the writer of the festival favorite All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (pictured), which Dimension has on their exceedingly long list of genre films they need to release.
So we don’t know what Handsome Devil is about, but conjectures can be made if it’s similar to Mandy Lane that is has something to do with a preppy whose intentions with the opposite sex aren’t exactly upstanding. Forman has also sold another script, Devil’s Swing, to the folks at 2929 Entertainment, which is currently seeking a director.
