Malice Writer Heads to The Mountain

Roy Lee and Vertigo Entertainment continue to branch out from their Asian horror remake roots with a new thriller called The Mountain, according to Variety. Working with Legendary Pictures and Written Pictures, they’ve tapped Malice in Wonderland scribe Jayson Rothwell to pen the script.

The wilderness can be a scary place, especially for a cop transplanted from the inner city to the middle of nowhere to serve as sheriff. When a group of hikers disappear in the Cascade Mountains, the sheriff has to put together a search party who quickly discover just how bad the woods can be.

Hard to tell with a synopsis like that just how much horror there will be, we’ll hold out hope that there’s a lot of it, though. Keep it here for more Mountain details as they come down!
