Make Next Weekend Horrific!
‘Tis the season for conventions, eh? Just take a look at our home page, and you’ll get a good idea of just how many chances horror fans have to either meet their favorite horror celeb or see brand-spanking-new horror films before anyone else in the coming weeks. But lest we forget the one that started it all? Nay!
Next weekend, specifically September 29th to October 1st, Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors makes its return to the New York area. This year the festivities will be held at the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands in Secaucus, New Jersey, and it promises to be even bigger and better than ever before.
A very small sampling of the guests includes names like Hellboy star Ron Perlman, Gravedancers director Mike Mendez, TCM: The Beginning bad guy R. Lee Ermey, Jeffrey Combs (who needs no title, damnit), effects man-turned-director Robert Kurtzman, and Hatchet helmer Adam Green. In addition to the usual frights and chills, Fangoria Radio will be broadcasting live from the show’s ballroom on Friday night from 10pm to 1am, so all you Sirius radio owners can feel like you’re actually there without the odd-smelling fans sullying the experience for you!
