Magnolia Sees Red, New Poster!
Variety is reporting that Magnolia Pictures has swept up the distribution rights to the adaptation of Jack Ketchum's Red.
The story of a man wanting revenge for the murder of his dog stars Brian Cox and Tom Sizemore. Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund, is also present in the film, which was directed by Trygve Allister Diesen after Lucky McKee left.
The film will appear at Cannes, and Magnolia has "exclusive HDNet Ultra VOD airings, with a late summer theatrical rollout to follow" planned for Red. Sounds good to me! Click on the teaser image to your right to see the new poster for the film, as well!

When an anticipated TV show gets its premiere pushed back, there's not much we can do but sit and wait. Unless, of course, the studio starts releasing things to get the hype in swing!

RED is one of my all time favorite books. I've always said it's like an unhly cross between WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS and I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE.
I cannot frickin' wait to see this.

Everyone is saying that this is a pretty extreme movie, like the last few Ketchem movies. Maybe we'll see Off Season on the big screen soon?

Sounds great! I love revenge movies. I'll want to read the book beforehand, though. Maybe. Anyway, I thought "Girl Next Door" was excellent (even if I liked "An American Crime" more), and I thought the Lost was hit or miss. We'll see how this goes.
