Lussier Fixes The Eye

Hmmmm...If you’ve hired a director or two to create a motion picture, why bring on a third person after the film is shot to add footage to it? Especially when the added party isn’t exactly as talented as your first choice?

Fangoria is reporting that another case of film directors who know what they are doing (David Moreau and Xavier Palud) have been taken off their own project while a new face is now trying to make it better for the studio.

The dynamic duo had already finished their remake of the Japanese thriller The Eye when Lionsgate brought on Dracula 2000 helmer Patrick Lussier to preform two weeks worth of reshoots. So does this mean The Eye didn’t have enough twists involving the bible and Judas? I guess we’ll find out if this was a mistake or not when The Eye, starring Jessica Alba, hits theatres on February 1st.
