Just the other day we showed you some brand-new images from the upcoming Last House on the Left remake, and now Rogue has released the first trailer for it to get you even more excited!
I’m not thrilled with their choice of Krug, as he doesn’t look anywhere near as threatening as David Hess, but that’s the one of the Rule of Remakes; make sure everyone’s prettier. Well, they only got -everything- wrong. I don't know what's worse: remakes that stick to the plot of the originals but get everything else wrong (Halloween) or remakes that have absolutely dick all to do with the original yet keep the name and the character names...like this one.
The original didn't need to be remade, and if it -had- to be remade, the only way to do it would be to say 'fuck the system' and remake it as hard or harder than the original, brutal and unforgiving in every way. Let Eli Roth direct the damn thing if that's the only way to get it done. This? All you have is a revenge movie with some violence against women in the beginning.
Wait...maybe it -is- directed by Eli Roth.

Unlike most of films getting the remake treatment, LAST HOUSE really needed it and can be improved upon. This trailer indicates that they pulled it off.
