Just a Bit More on Death

Gaiman talks Death: The High Cost of Living adaptationA little bit more info on the proposed adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Death: The High Cost of Living (which we last told you about here) has come down via Superhero Hype, who had a chance to talk to the man himself.

“Everything is moving, slowly, but it’s moving,” Gaiman told them. “Guillermo del Toro is executive producing, which is a wonderful thing… and I’m actually planning on going out to Prague very, very soon to do some stuff with Guillermo on ‘Death.’ I think it definitely seems like it’s going to happen.”

Like I said, that’s just a little bit of new info, but it’s really good info nonetheless. Death: The High Cost of Living is about a girl who believes herself to be the physical embodiment of death and her journey with a young man on the cusp of suicide during the one day every century she is able to visit Earth.

If it does happen, it will mark the directing debut of Neil Gaiman, making him a true Renaissance man in every sense of the term. Stay tuned for more details soon!
