MethodicWe’ve been talking a lot about Insomnifest this month (“Grief & Gutterballs for Insomnifest” – January 2008), but I think it’s time for an official recap of the event.

Insomnifest is the first ever online horror film festival and will be broadcasted for the entire world to view over a two week period in February of 2008 at www.insomnifest.com. The festival will take place between the 14th of February and the 26th of February. We will be showing twelve horror flicks from all over the world and several of them will be world premieres. The movies will be streamable for $4.99 per ticket.

With that out of the way, let’s look at the two newest additions to the fest’s list.

Methodic is brought to us by director Chris R. Notarile and is about “a young boy who is possessed by an ominous presence and ends up killing his parents at his own birthday party. He’s sent off to a mental institution where he will spend the rest of his days… or so they thought. As the presence grows stronger and stronger, the boy, who’s now fully grown, is soon completely overtaken by the demonic presence and goes on a killing rampage. Now all you can do is pray. Pray that you’re not next.

The second title added today hails from Sweden and helmers Martin Kjellberg and Nils Wåhlin. The House At The End Of The Road (AKA Huset Vid Vägens Ände) revolves around “four students majoring in art leave the civilization for a couple of days to be able to dedicate some time to their current art projects. They’ve rented a remote house where the nearest neighbor is miles away and nothing but woods surround them, but just as they start getting settled in, strange things start to occur. Something’s been waiting for them and now there’s only one rule; trust no one… ESPECIALLY not yourself!
