How to Make Horror

You’re a filmmaker. You’re creative. You have a vision of seeing great things on the screen and you want it done your way, not worrying about what some investors might think of the finished product. There’s a new site out there that wants to help people just like you.

Head Trauma director Lance Weiler has started said site to help out the burgeoning indie film community by giving out how-tos from both himself and others working who have managed to scrap together the wherewithal and meager funds to make their films happen. Just a quick look around the page is a good indication of how in-depth he’s willing to go, and his latest installment focuses on the creation of stop-motion animation on a budget.

The article is written by Pit and the Pendulum (review soon, I promise!) director Marc Lougee, who gives a great overview on how they made the film a reality with minimal tools at their disposal.
