Looks really good to me. That shot of the dog dismembering the guy was a bit shocking. Its nice how they show Leguizamo slitting his wrists... way to spoil the fate of a supposedly major character.

That's funny WIB, because having been a teacher in a UK school for a number of years, I can tell you that most pupils definitely DO NOT have good grammar skills... and I taught in one of the best schools!
I moved from England to the US a few years ago, and from my experience so far I would say that Americans are generally taught better grammar usage than we are. In fact,I honestly cannot remember being taught any grammar at school, but my (American) wife can recall the many lessons she had, as well as many lessons on penmanship (writing skills), which is something else we sorely lack over there.

Non-awkward dialogue and correct grammar are hardly mutually exclusive. Take a look at just about any contemporary British or European horror film -- they somehow manage to combine the two with no problem. Bad grammar is simply laziness -- and unfortunately a product of the times we live in here in the US. Thank god for the NY Times -- it's the only publication where I have yet to find a mistake.

For sure Sirand, but if you want a lesson in writing clunky and awkward dialogue, then those 'love scenes' between Padme and Annakin in Attack of the Clowns were excruciatingly painful...

I talked to one of the effects guys who worked on this recently and he said they did A LOT of gorey stuff; hopefully it'll all make it to the screen.

I will agree that the dialog looks to be way too cliche, that's why I am only going into this just to watch the suicides. The dude laying down in front of the lawnmower was one of the most disturbing things I've seen for a while ... too bad it'll probably cut away before we see chunks flying.

In that clip that DC showed a few days back, Wahlberg's acting was just terrible. I read an early review of the film that says it's worse than "Lady in the Water".
Never before have I seen a horror movie advertised with such impeccable grammar:
"We've lost contact."
"With whom?"
"Everyone."
