Hoffman, Mortensen in Talks for Vanikoro?

It’s not a huge chunk of news, but could be pretty exciting for Hitman helmer Xavier Gens (interview) when it comes to getting attention for his next film, Vanikoro.
Bloody Disgusting learned today that both Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Capote) and Viggo Morentensen (A History of Violence, pictured) are in talks to potentially eat the flesh of heir fellow shipwreck victims in Vanikoro. Nothing is confirmed, but these are some pretty big names for a horror movie about cannibals, even if it is based on a true story, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens with it.
We’re still waiting word on how After Dark Films will be releasing Gens’ first film, Frontier(s), though last we heard they were going to try and get it in theaters with the dreaded NC-17 intact (the reason it didn’t make this year’s 8 Films to Die For lineup). I’m sure we’ll be hearing more very soon so stick around!
