Talk about a match made in Hell; Werner Herzog is getting ready to direct a new “horror-tinged” drama with David Lynch on board to executive produce, according to Yahoo! Movies.
The film is called My Son, My Son, and is loosely based on a true story. The true story is of a San Diego man who acts out a Sophocles play and killed his mother with a sword. No telling where Herzog will take the story, but I guarantee it’ll be interesting to watch!
The very low-budge feature will flash back and forth between the murder scene and the son’s disturbing story. Don’t get too excited for it yet, though; Herzog is so busy with other projects (including a Nicholas Cage-starring remake of Bad Lieutenant that makes me want to punch someone just thinking about) that he won’t even be able to start on My Son, My Son until March.
Hopefully we’ll have more on the project before then for ya!

"Well, when I see five weirdos dressed in togas, stabbing a man in the middle of the park in front of a full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards, that's my policy."
"That was a Shakesphere In The Park Production of Julius Caesar, you moron! You killed five actors! Good ones!"
