It’s hard to believe another year is in the can and we’re going stronger than ever. We have a ton of stuff to be thankful for so allow us to indulge ourselves for a moment …
Speaking for myself and, I’m sure, Jon Condit and KW Low, my partners and fellow founding fathers of this asylum we all call home, we’re thankful for all of our friends in the industry — from press and PR to talent — who have embraced us and let us become part of their projects to help out any way that we can.
We’re thankful for our badass motherfuckin’ staff, both old and new. We’re thankful for the old-schoolers like Scott and Tabby Johnson, who always go above and beyond. For Nomad, who always goes the extra mile to make sure everyone’s covered with the latest and taken care of at live events. For Buz and Andrew, both of whom we’d be absolutely nowhere without – there are no words that can adequately express our gratitude. For Morgan, who injects not only estrogen but insight into our little circus. And of course for the incomparable Foywonder, who’s an enigma all his own.
Then there’s the new breed, who have given us that spark of life we needed to keep going with their sharp insights, dedication, and willingness to kick a copious amount of ass in the name of horror and terror … We’re thankful for Heather Wixson, who not only knows her shit but knows how to deliver some of the best stuff we’ve ever had. For Sean Decker, who with his amazing experience brings us that much needed touch of class and professionalism. For Matt Fini, who’s quickly becoming a voice within this industry to be reckoned with.
We’re thankful for our contributors like my right-hand man and brother Joe Knetter (you keep me sane), Ryan “Plagiarize” Acheson, Mr. Dark, Heather Buckley, Jess King, Elaine Lamkin, Erik Van Der Wolf, those crazy Canucks Rick Trembles, Evil Andy, and Paul McCannibal, Sean Smithson, Scott Allie, Gareth Jones, Phil Newton, Joe Moe, Uncle Bob Martin, Rich Stahnke, Doug Slack, Carlee Baker, Brian Smith, Spooky Dan Walker, and anyone else who’s ever submitted anything to us for publication. Though your roles may seem small, you’re every bit a part of this family as anyone else.
Also we’re thankful for all the past writers and friends whose hard work helped bring us to where we are today. The Bostaphs, Don Kaye, Ryan Rotten, Dave Manack, Bill Johnson, Sean Clark, Shane Churchman, Todd and Emilie Noetzel, Mike “Kryten” Syxx, and without question — Johnny Butane. Most of all we are thankful for you, our readers. We make no bones about it — You’re the reason we’re allowed to even exist. You give us the ability and the want to do what we do. You’re our peers. The blood running through our veins. We love you all to pieces.

Collectively this entire year’s worth of work is dedicated to Lou Gentile. Words can’t describe how much you’re missed. Rest in peace, brother. We’re thankful for every moment we ever got to spend with you. See you on the other side.
That being said … Eat, drink, and be scary! And watch out for those damned turkey-induced tryptophantoms. They can be a real bitch! Happy Thanksgiving!
