Got a heads up this morning from The Alphabet Killer/The Attic producer Russ Terlecki (interview) about a new project he’s behind called Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Undead, a horror/comedy with Jeremy Sisto and Cabin Fever star Joey Kern set to star.
Obviously a take off of the 1966 play Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, which featured two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, R&G Are Undead tells of a ladies man who gets a job from a creepy patient of his father’s directing an off-Broadway play. Little does he know that the play is an adaptation of Hamlet written by a master vampire, and pretty soon he finds himself in the middle of 2000 year old conspiracy.
Terlecki let us know that Sin City star Devon Aoki, former Karate Kid Ralph Maccio and Sean Lennon, son of John, are also set to star, with Lennon composing the score for the film, as well. An eclectic cast, for sure, but this sounds like it could be a lot of fun, even if it is about vampires. We’ll be giving you more soon so stay tuned!
