Gunn's Belcoo Experiment
We haven't heard much from Slither (review) director James Gunn in a long time. Then out of the blue someone at Comic Con let loose some news about a new project he is connected to called Belcoo Experiment.
Today it was confirmed on James Gunn's Blog that he was indeed part of said film, "It's an ultra-violent thriller with a lot of action. It has to do with a group of 83 American expatriates who work in a building in Sao Paulo, Brazil. At the beginning of what is at first a regular, boring day, walls close up around the building, trapping them inside. A voice emits over the speaker system, forcing them through a series of murderous moral decisions."
This may not be Mr. Gunn's next film, however, "I'm not sure it's the next thing I'm going to do, which is why I didn't choose for it to come out at Comic-Con. Part of this is because casting is a challenge."
Either way it is great to see that he is still continuing his efforts in the horror genre. We'll keep a close eye on this one. In the meantime if you have a Sirius satellite radio, tune in to Fangoria Radio for a check-in with James, Debbie Rochon and others at 9PM Central time (10PM EST) tonight.
