Grizzly Park DVD Date?

Grizzly Park DVD dateWe here at Dread Central have been following the progress of the gore-soaked bear massacre flick Grizzly Park for awhile now. For those that missed out on the previous stories, Grizzly Park was co-produced by CHUD.com’s Nick Nunziata, directed by the awesomely named Tom Skull, and stars “24”‘s Glen Morshower as a character known as “Ranger Bob”.

Doing my occasional rounds on the website Video ETA in search of any potentially interesting titles I’m not already aware of heading to DVD in the near future, lo and behold what do I come across but none other than a May 27th DVD release date for Grizzly Park. According to the site, the film is being released by Allumination Filmworks on May 27th at a SRP of $29.99. Since a visit to Allumination Filmworks’ site turned up nothing which I guess means they haven’t updated their own website yet with this information. I don’t think Nunziata has updated readers regarding the release date over at CHUD, either. In fact, Video ETA is currently the only website I can find any info about the May 27th Grizzly Park DVD release date and they’re usually a very reliable site so I can only assume for now (until I hear otherwise) that they’re the first DVD site to get the head’s up on the release.

For those unaware, the film’s plot goes a little something like this:

“Eight troubled young adults are sentenced to a week of community service in a remote California forest range called Grizzly Park. Under the supervision of the stalwart Ranger Bob, the group is given the opportunity to seek redemption on their journey through the forest.

While Ranger Bob seeks to provide guidance to the young adults, an escaped serial killer with an insatiable bloodlust has also found his way into the park with every intention of disposing anyone in his path. But he is not the only predator in these woods – a nine foot tall, thousand pound ravenous Grizzly bear has also set his sights on stalking the group and attacking them one by one, leaving the group to face their ultimate challenge … survival.

As the body count rises and the idyllic camp grounds turn red with blood, Grizzly Park will have you rebooking your vacation.”

If you’re in need of further convincing then head over to the official Grizzly Park website and check out the bloody trailer for yourself.

Expect more info upon full confirmation of the DVD date and any box art and DVD extras to come. One thing I would definitely implore Allumination Filmworks to do would be to keep the awesome artwork (pictured above) that American World Pictures cooked up for Grizzly Park a few months back. That’s money!
