Graves Set for Fringe
J.J. Abrams just can’t seem to stop making freaky TV shows, can he? The creator of “Lost” has another new project in the works called “Fringe”, and Sci Fi Wire reports today that “Journeyman” director Alex Graves has been tapped to direct the show’s pilot.
”Fringe” will focus on a female FBI agent who is forced to work with an institutionalized scientist when a rash of unexplained phenomena starts going down all around them. Fox has already given a series commitment to the show, though it doesn’t even roll until February. I guess that’s some good Hollywood power right there.
Abrams and his Bad Robot have been behind some of the coolest new shows on TV, not to mention Cloverfield, but one can’t help but wonder with the rash of supernatural-themed series out there now how much longer it all will last before the viewing public wants to see the next “Dallas”. Makes me shudder just to think about it.
Hope the next big thing isn't dramas about Texas oil in the Dread Central forums!
