The Suffering was a fun horror game that you might remember from a few years back set in a rather nightmarish prison. Well, 1up.com brings word that you can now download the PC version of the game for free from FileFront. The game came out in 2004, so if you're reading this on a PC bought since then, there's a good chance the game will run on it.
At around 1.25 Gigabytes, it's a bit of a download, but who can argue with free? In his Suffering review, Uncle Creepy called the game “an absolute gift to horror fans” four years ago, which is now a completely true statement! So now that it's actually free, maybe it's time for everyone that missed out on it to see if you agree with him and to reassess the game to see if time has been kind to it.

Don't forget Stan Winston helped design the creatures. Every horror fan is now required to check this out. Great game, still have it on my PS2.
