Fruit's Don't Look Up Redux Gets Cast
It’s been a while since there’s been word on Fruit Chan’s (“Dumplings” segment of Three Extremes) remake of Don’t Look Up, but finally all is in place and the film is set to roll on April 14th in Tinseltown.
Henry Thomas (Dead Birds, Red Velvet), Kevin Corrigan, Lothaire Bluteau, Carmen Chaplin and Reshad Strik are all on board according to Variety. The original Don't Look Up was directed by Hideo Nakata (original Ring), who was being pursued to helm the redux for a while as well. Personally, I’m glad they got Chan; the guy deserves a shot.
Don’t Look Up tells of the unraveling sanity of a director and his crew when ghosts from the past attempt to force their way through to his current production, being shot in an abandoned factory. Originally set to shoot in Romania, thankfully production is now scheduled for L.A.

Chan has been directing multi-award winning feature length films for about the past 15 years, with the Dumplings segment of Three Extremes (which was a shortened version of a feature), being his lone short.
