As a lifelong Friday fan, I was really wary about this reboot... but after meeting some of the people involved and seeing this slick li'l trailer, I'm sold.
I know where I'm gonna be February 13th.

I gotta admit, hearing the classic 'ki ki ki ha ha ha' put a grin on my face. And I actually think Jason looked pretty badass at the end.
And good to see Platinum Dunes is keeping with their tradition of the male leads having that stupid Shaggy haircut.

If Micheal Bay is producing it I fear there will be about 500 explosions and choppers. And to the post before me horror wants to go mainstream baby --- it doesn't want your love.

YEAAA! MYSPACE!! Fantastic place to premiere the trailer for the reboot of Friday the 13th. Not like some horror site couldn't have shown it to their horror loving readers or anything like that. Hollywood continues it's slow slide of denial away from the horror sites that backed their HORROR MOVIES all these years. Funny stuff.
I'm not bitter.

Wait a second here... you're bitter over the fact that the latest film in a long series of lowest common denominator films that have historically been aimed only at separating teens from their money is being marketed toward those same teens yet again?
Youthful nostalgia aside, these films were NEVER made for hardcore horror fans (most of whom reviled them). They were simply the SAW series of the 80s, only with even shittier directors, actors and scripts.
From a marketing standpoint (and that's all these films have ever been concerned with) Myspace is the PERFECT place to debut the trailer.

You? Bitter? Perish the thought.
